Fit Challenge Week 48

Standard

Ok I know it’s late and I know I really do not have too much progress to share…but guess what…it is what it is. My progress is showing in my other numbers besides my weight. My thyroid levels have improved to the point where my doctor decided to reduce the amount I am taking, my sugar level is the best it has been since before the kids, and my cholesterol is on a steady downhill slide 🙂  So with all this said I can’t complain too bitterly about the fact my weight has not budged. I am determined to look at the whole not just one particular number. I am going to keep going and continue to improve and change me from the inside out.

Fit Challenge Week 45

Standard

Hey everyone!! This post is a little shorter than normal because I am in the middle of getting things prepared for my Mom’s b-day. So let’s hit the highlights…on the plus side I lost a pound. That sort of surprises me considering the foods I ate this weekend. Whereas they were not the worst, they definitely were not the best. I guess my body has woke up and is using the calories I intake a little more efficiently. Which is a good thing…it means I am on the right track…YAY!!  Something else that may have help it as well is I did start using weights again. I used to lift weights (not as a bodybuilder but more than casual) when I was younger. So now I have decided to start doing it again if for nothing else just to keep my arms and legs toned and even to alleviate pain I stated developing in my arms. Hopefully this will help me burn fat more…will keep you all updated as always!!

Fit Challenge Week 40

Standard

Well here I am at week 40….I’m not going to complain because I am back on track. Hopefully I will stay this time. It is hard when so many things happen at once and unfortunately you end up putting yourself on the back burner. You try to keep yourself up front but it happens. As I said I am not complaining because it is not productive and it just makes matters harder. Anyway….   I do have some positive news…I lost another pound so I know I am getting back on track. Next week hopefully will continue on the same path.

Fit Challenge Week 37

Standard

Sorry abut the delay…my week has not been all that great as far as my weight goes. I can make every excuse in the book because we did have a rough week and a lot of things went wrong but in the end it still is not an excuse. I know did not stick to what I should do as far as my eating plan goes and I know I paid for this week with gaining weight back. But you know what I will get back on track.

Fit Challenge Week 33

Standard

Again sorry about the late post…see my yoga post So anyway after last weeks 1 inch I did not have much more progress. But you know what I feel amazing. I am doing things I have not been able to do in quite a few years. And to be honest my hubby is loving the difference too 🙂  It’s been a major change in the way I feel physically and maybe even mentally. I never had a low self esteem but when you start to see a difference in the way things look on you…you start to feel a boost in the way you look at yourself. I am absolutely going to keep going!!

Fit Challenge Week 25

Standard

It’s the time again to do the weekly post. I am not going to say how happy I am but I have to show this pic:    img_20161207_045058  This is to show all the progress I have made and how I know I am making progress even though my weight is not coming down like I want it to. These jeans are a pair I have not been able to put on since last year (2015).  It was probably around the fall of last year. They are a size 12. They are true to size….not big fit.  I could no longer wear them. I put them on yesterday and was ecstatic. This is why I keep on doing what I am because I know I am changing and becoming healthier everyday. By doing what I am doing, I know the weight will come off. I just have to keep doing what I am doing.

Fit Challenge – Week 24 and Monthly Check In

Standard

Another week has past and my monthly goal is here once again….hate to disappoint myself but the weight has not changed. As much as I’d like to see that number go down I am not going to beat myself up about it. The reason is I know my body is changing. I see it in my clothes when I put them on. Some fit better, some are getting too big 😀   I know I have toned my hips as well…as previously stated I lost an inch!! So on the whole, my weekly and my monthly check in may not be where I would like to be as far as pounds go but I will take any positive progress and keep moving because I know it will change. I will get there. My body and my mind know everything is changing. I just got to keep doing.

I am going to break 170 next month…12/30/2016 – 168 pounds

Weight: 173.4

Fit Challenge Week 23

Standard

Well here I sit….I am at a plateau. I am calling it that because in a way I am. I have not lost anymore weight. But I don’t know if I can really call it that due to I have lost an inch off of my backside. I know the reason I have not lost weight. I have been doing more “muscle exercises” then just basic exercises. I went back to lifting light weights and I believe that has affected my weight. I know it will balance out in the end. I just have to keep doing. I see the difference in my pants. The waist on my pants has more room in them…so I know something is changing. It is just a matter of time. I will get there I know I will!!

As I said last week, hubby has joined me in my exercise endeavors. He has started toning  his muscles with free weights. He has even told me that his elbow, which he has been having issues with, is feeling better and has more movement without pain. That is an amazing thing for him. He was afraid that eventually he would have to go have surgery on it. At least this will put that off a little longer 🙂
