Take a breath…

Through all the hustle and bustle, I think we forget that Christmas truly is a time for being together. We get so caught up in everything that we tend to lose the site of enjoying each other no matter the situation. If you’re anything like me, it can be stressful and you end up with family around that you might not get along so well with but you love them none the less. You want them around but sometimes it gets to the point you would just like them to leave and never come back. I’ll be the first to say it…I love all my family but they all know how to get under my skin and likewise. It’s hard not to let that happen, especially if you have a lot of strong willed independent people in your family. I am not telling you that everything should be rosy and cheerful but you should make some effort to enjoy them no matter what.

Christmas should be enjoyed with friends and family. It should not be about who gets what, when, or how. It should be a time no matter the issues to come together and love each other as they are. We are only here at this moment once. When it is gone you can never get it back no matter how hard you want to. It is something that should be enjoyed with family and friends. Gifts are not important…don’t make that mistake. You will not even remember a month from now who gave you what but you will remember the moments you share with the ones you love. Those are the most important thing that you could ever receive.

Treasure Island Vacation

With the World Cup going on I really didn’t take the time to tell you about our vacation a few weeks ago. Back in June we went to Treasure Island, Fl. It is located on island a short drive out of Tampa. It’s in the same area as Clearwater, St. Pete Beach, Madeira beach and St. Johns Pass. We took the whole week off and enjoyed some great weather and beach time. It really is beautiful down there. I would not mind going back again. The water was so calm and warm in the Gulf of Mexico which is a big difference from being on the Atlantic Ocean side. We could relax and just enjoy the water without battling waves. It’s also an amazing area to look for sea shells if you like to collect them like we  do 🙂

Turn the @#$% thing off!!

Ok maybe I am being a little harsh and this might be a bit of an oxymoron in the sense I am on my laptop at 5:30 in the morning typing this post up…but really can we all just shut everything off for a little bit. Have we really got to a point where all we can do is stare at screens all day and not realize what is going on in the world around us? I know it’s hard. I am very guilty in the sense that I am on my computer a lot of the day because of work and even when I get off in the afternoon I am back on. I am going to start today after I get off work…to set some time aside without anything on. No TV, smart phone (except for calling), no computer, at least for a couple of hours. I think I am getting too involved with being on line and I think it is effecting my take on things. I don’t like the way it has started to influence my thinking. So everyday at least for the month of June, I am going to do that. I am going shut the @#$% thing of 😛

Second group of puzzles

Hi all!! Sorry it took me so long to post another one of these. I took the pictures but just did not have the time to come and up load them here. Here are three new ones we completed. They were a blast!!

Porto Fino, Italy – 500 pcs

99 Beautiful Places on Earth – 1000 pcs

Flags of the World – 1000 pcs

I love puzzles, my husband loves puzzles, and my kids love puzzles. They love to open up a box and find all the pieces and see the final outcome. Well, we started doing them again about 2 months ago because to be honest we got bored with what we saw on tv. We cracked open some of the old puzzles we had and have bought some since and are working on them. I thought I’d share some of the puzzles we completed so far. Unfortunately some of the first puzzles we started were missing a few pieces because they had been tossed and moved around so much. But we completed them to the best that we could. these are the puzzles we have completed since we started:

Pumpkin Patch:

Sunset on a Busy Day:

Peacock Feather:

Yosemite at Dusk:

I’m going to make this a regular posting. It might not be every week but there will be one regularly as we get each done. Hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we do putting them together 🙂
